2011 – Canadian Tamil Alumni Association

Canadian Tamil Alumni Association is a young professional organization that caters to the Tamil culture. The site is built using WordPress, using a combination of jQuery and HTML. All graphics and coding were done by me, except for the logo. Personally, it was a good learning experience because it gave me a chance to work directly with the Board of Directors and get a feel for what is needed.

2009 – SallyHeung.ca v2.0

This was version 2.0 of sallyheung.ca, breaking out of the wordpress mould. This was also my first attempt at using jQuery. I’ve used a simple accordion menu to display the different sections of my resume.

2009 – FJSarmiento.com

FJSarmiento is a (wedding) photography portfolio, powered by WordPress. It uses the SimpleViewer for the slideshows. The site heavily uses white and grey to convey the elegance of a wedding ceremony.

2009 – HomSweetHome – Leehom Wang’s US & Canada Fan Club

Using pictures taken from the Las Vegas concert, the layout was made to promote the Taiwanese singer’s presence in the US. I opted for a large header image, in true essense of most fansites. The site mainly uses light grey and white as background with black text because of the text-heavy nature of the site. It also has a cleaner looking feel to it.

2005 – Paranoid

This website was created as a creative outlet. It started off as just a bunch of doodles in Adobe Illustrator, which eventually envolved into a website layout. The doodles were ported to Photoshop and the rest just came together. The black title and swirls really contrast with the soft orange/pink gradient background, which really emphasizes on the word ‘Paranoid’.

2005 – ChuckComeau.net

This website was created for my fansite devoted to the drummer of Simple Plan, a Canadian pop-punk band. This domain is no longer live and has been abandoned since 2006.

This website was created for my fansite devoted to the drummer of Simple Plan, a Canadian pop-punk band from Quebec. This domain is no longer live and has been abandoned since 2006. The main inspiration for the images is the different faces that Chuck makes, aka drummer face. Along with a washed-out effect, the layout uses several ‘blood’-splatter images.

2004 – Markham District High School

This website was a proposal for a new layout for Markham District High School. Due to time restrictions, this layout was never used. The layout heavily relies on blue and grey, with the navy blue being the official school colour. The ‘Quick Links’ at the top includes pages specfically targeted different groups of individuals. The navigation list on the side links to each individual department.

2003 – SoulFire

This website was created for a friend’s personal site. The image of the girl in the corner was drawn in Adobe Photoshop 7.0, using the pen tool. All the HTML are coded in NotePad
